SADHARGHAT TERMINAL
 

Sadharghat terminal was established in beginning of 20^th century. PIWTA included this terminal in 1958. Ferry and other facilities established in 1961. After liberation it was renames as BIWTA. About 15000-20000 people use the harbour daily. About 600 boats are using the harbour. About 150-200 launch and streamers are using the harbour. The boats mainly go the southern districts of Bangladesh. About 10-12 ships go down every year. Is the cheapest and easiest way for people of southern side of the country to communicate with the capital. There is no much kind of terminal in Dhaka. Bit there are a lots of terminal outside of Dhaka.
