I have spent quite sometime in Germany, mostly in the former east, and in relation to jobs. Right after the fall of the Berlin wall I was sent to Greifswald in the fare Eastern part to establish a new architect office for a Danish company. They had gotten a very big client, Diakonishe Werk, who took care of all the hospitals and the elder homes, many of them needed severe renovation in order to get up to Western Standards. It was a demand from DW that the Danish company had their own local representation that this representation was me.
