As a young Architect, I made a few decisions about what to do in life, what skills to obtain. Firstly I wanted to learn about computers, at the time it was an entirely new area, secondly I wanted to learn languages, and thirdly, I wanted to use my skill to the benefit of developing countries.

So, did I succeed? Well, I did learn a lot of languages, I know more about computers and software than most and I have been to many developing countries. In this way, yes, its a success. But did I leave any marks? Yes, but not enough, I would have liked to see factories in Ghana and Bangladesh making Compressed Earth Block Machinery, A university for sustainable building technology and a visual arts school in Vietnam. But its not to late, it might still happen.
